SKIDOO Roadshow

Why haven't I been posting you (I) ask? Bceause only you (I) am reading this.
After the coming SKIDOO deluge, I expect lots of new friends. Or enemies.
Thanks to the diligent film tracking work of programmer Kier-La Janisse, I will be doing a SKIDOO presentation and screening in Austin at the beloved Alamo Drafthouse (alamodrafthouse.com) featuring Austin Pendleton and John Phillip Law and a 35 mm print in the groovy flesh for what will be a mind-bending night tentatively set for September. Details to come.
And as if that wasn't enough, I'll be doing my SKIDOO thang on Saturday July 14 at the amazing Mods and Rockers film fest (modsandrockers.com) at the legendary Grauman's Egyptian Theatre, home to the first movie premiere in 1922 -- ROBIN HOOD starring Douglas Fairbanks -- and my dream locale for a star-studded 40th anniversary screening of SKIDOO. Thanks to the fest founder, the incredible Martin Lewis (martinlewis.com), who has long wanted to show the film. Now that we found a print -- the hardest thing in all of this has been locating a print -- Martin has hooked up with the Alamo to bring it over from England. The love power of SKIDOO rolls onward.
This will be the LA Film Event Of The Year. Details to follow...
