From Summer Camp Director Matt Garcia:
I am now in DC's back yard and there was a
local event that didn't make CNN that will make you
all smile. Our fair president visited one of our
branches this week. (first African-American Y in the
country) He wanted a photo op with a bunch of small
children. He got a bit of a surprise.
What those of us in the DC Y know is that he got into
a a spat with the kids. Seems they all wanted to
flash peace signs during the photo and our president
wouldn't have it. The attached photo ran in the
Washington Post...
Our folks describe it as the least pissed off version of the
president literally pushing the kids hands down and
telling them to knock it off.
One little 8 year old looked him in the face and
asked, "what are you doing here." The prez replied,
"I came to see you." The kid did not buy it.
